Slayers is one of the most underrated Anime series. It is a Japanese novel series. And was released in 1990, which in 2020 makes it about 30 years. It is written by Hajime Kanzaka and illustrated by Rui Araizumi. There are many spinoff series that have been inspired by it. And various adaptations like anime series, movies, manga series, etc have been there. It is considered the most popular series in the ’90s. If you haven’t watched it or read it do check it out.


30th-anniversary event to be postponed

Recently it has been announced by the official website of Slayers, that the 20th-anniversary event program has been postponed. The live event Imakoso Atsumatte Kunnaito ABarechauzo will be going to happen on 20th December 2020 at Tokorozawa Sakura town in Japan.


It was initially going to take place in the Tokyo dome city hall. The event was scheduled earlier on 29th March 2020 and almost all the tickets were sold out. But due to COVID-19, everything has been affected, and why not this event. So COVID affected this too and it has been postponed. And after so many months finally, a new date has released for it which is 20th December 2020.


The Slayers anime’s four main voice cast members – Megumi Hayashibara (Lina Inverse), Yasunori Matsumoto (Gourry Gabriel), Masami Suzuki (Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun), Maria Kawamura (Naga the Serpent)-, and the theme song singer Masami Okui will gather again on the stage.

The event will take place in the Tokyo venue’s hall. And it will be a live viewing session in the hall b simultaneously.

Ticket prices

So as for the ticket prices, there are two types of them:

  • The first one is for the former ones which are 15000 yen that makes it about 142 US dollars
  • And another one is for 12000 yen that is about 113 US dollars.
