Fruits Basket Season 2 Episode 21: Fruits Basket is a Japanese manga series developed by Natsuki Takaya. The genre of the series includes Supernatural, Romantic Comedy, and Japanese drama.


Fruits Basket story revolves around an orphan girl Tohru Honda, she meets Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma and she gets to know that twelve members of the Soma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and they’re cursed, that they’ll turn into animal form when they’re stressed, weak or embraced by someone of the opposite sex.
The story moves forward as Tohru learns the pain and hardships suffered by the Soma family and she helps them to heal their trauma. Amidst, she also discovers herself.


Fruit Basket Season 2 is inspired directly from the original manga and it added more hoist to its poignant drama. The premise of the series is well defined and structured, it foreshadows the plot of upcoming episodes.

The second season starts off, as Somas pleasantly accept Tohru as a part of their family. Tohru also settles in her new home. But Tohru still overthinks about her graduation and what will happen after she graduates and leave from the Soma House. She is worried about, how Soma’s family and the boys would manage without her but eventually, Somas comfort her, makes her realize that they’ll find a way and figure out things like always.

As the summer vacation arrives, the Soma family and Tohru along with the boys set out for a trip. The vacations turn out to be good and Tohru and Kyo get even closer than before as they both confront and open up about their families and past. Meanwhile, Akito is back and the darker arc of the anime starts. Akito tells Tohru that Kyo’s future is in her hands and she can do anything with him. Tohru feels not so good about it and decides to help Kyo. Later, she realizes it won’t be that easy for her to face Akito.
