Haro Aso to launch new series in his Alice in Borderland manga

Shogakukan’s 45th Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine revealed about the Haro Aso, will watch a new series on Alice in Borderland. It will be titled as Imawa no Kuni no Alice Retry ( Alice in Borderland Retry). It will be released on 14th October 2020. The manga will be on page number 59.

Haro Aso on his official twitter handle said that he intended to retire from drawing but before that the new manga will be released on Netflix as a Live-action series adaptation of Alice in Borderland. Alice in Borderland has ended 5 years before and Haso forgets how to use a pen and hard time to recognize his own drawing.

What will the new series to focus on?

The story revolves around Ryohei Arisu (Alice). He is a high school student and is very much irritated with his life. One night, he tags along with his bad friends Karube and Chōta to hang out in town. But the town gets covered in fireworks and when Ryohei wakes up and comes to his senses, he founds himself in another world. Ryōhei notices that no one else is around. Finding themselves in a different world, Ryōhei, Karube, and Chōta are forced to participate in survival games or die right off the bat. All of them fought for their lives and find a way back to their world.

Haro Aso started serializing the series in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. It later on being transferred to weekly shonen as its final story got ended in 2015 MArch. It got ended in March 2016 and over 18 compiled books were published till then.

Apart from this, a spinoff series has also released in October 2014 – February 2015. Haro launched this spinoff which is titled as Imawa no Michi no Alice. It was released in Shogakukan’s monthly magazine and all the artwork was by Takayoshi Kuroda.
