Hyoka is a Japanese novel written in 2001 by Honobu Yonezawa. It is a mystery novel. After that 5 additional novels have been published. After which anime adapted on basis of this consists of 22 episodes and produced by Kyoto Animation. it was aired in 2012 and directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto. Hyouka- Forbidden Secrets is a live-action movie which is directed by Mari Asato and starring Kento Yamazaki and Alice Hirose was released on November 3, 2017.
Hyoka to resume after a 3-month hiatus
The November issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Saturday that Taskohna’s manga adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa’s Hyouka mystery novel will return from hiatus in the magazine’s next issue on October 26. The manga went on hiatus in July so that Taskohna could recover from an unspecified illness.
the first anime series of the manga ended well with its 12th volume in Mya 2019. But they had already launched a new anime series just before the ending of the previous one, in April 2019. It featured students as second-year high school students.
The plot revolves around a boy named Hōtarō. He was ordered by his older sister to join the classic literature club. But in the club, he gets close to the truth about an incident involving a female member’s uncle, which happened 33 years ago.
Taskohna launched the manga in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in January 2012.
Yonezawa published the original novel in 2001, and it is the first novel in his Kotenbu CLC (Classic Literature Club) mystery novel series, which consists of six novels. Imasara Tsubasa o Iwaretemo is the latest novel, and it debuted in November 2016. The first four novels inspired Kyoto Animation’s Hyōka television anime series in 2012. The characters designed by the late Futoshi Nishiya serves as the basic designs and the most reliable ones for the manga.
The novels also inspired a live-action film adaptation in November 2017.
