On Saturday, it was revealed by this year’s November issue of Shueisha’s Cookie magazine that manga adaptation about sextuplets that was launched in January 2016 will end in the magazine’s next issue on 26 November.
Mr. Osomatsu reimagines the original manga:
Mr. Osomatsu is a television anime inspired by the original Osomatsku-kun manga by Fujio Akatsuka. The story of Mr. Osomatsu revolves around the six naughty sons of the Matsuno household. These six mischievous boys are sextuplets and are in love with a girl named Kotoko. The eldest of them is Osomatsu and he too is in love with Kotoko. In the original series, these boys were ten years old. And Mr. Osomatsu portrays these sextuplets as adults.
Manga adaptation about sextuplets was launched in January 2016:
In January 2016, the manga was launched in Shueisha’s You josei magazine. However, after the magazine ended the publication in 2018, the manga moved to Cookie. Nevertheless, the story of the manga and the anime are quite different. And in February 2019 the eighth compiled book volume of the manga was shipped.
The rights for Mr. Osomatsu anime is with Viz Media. Viz Media acquired the digital streaming, home video and merchandise rights of the anime. Furthermore, the English dub of the anime will be released by Viz Media. The first season of Mr. Osomatsu was out in October 2015 followed by the second season on 13 October. Many films have been inspired by the series. However, Mr. Osomatsu manga will end on 26 November.
