There are rumours that the TV anime will come up with its fifth season in early 2021. Here we will look upon what exactly we know about the anime and if these rumours are legitimate

WILL THERE BE MY HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 5?

It’s true that the fifth season of the hit TV anime My Hero Academia has already been confirmed. And the anime is in the production phase. This news surely excites all the fans.

In the 18th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the announcement for the renewal of the series was done in April 2020. In addition, a teaser was also released at the end of the fourth season.

Though the official confirmation of renewal of the series is welcomed, it might not be surprising for the fans. Renewal of the series depends upon two factors: popularity and source material. And in this aspect, the series scored 90% on Rotten Tomatoes making it one of the most popular series in the world. Also, the series is rated 819 on MyAnimeList and 8.5/10 on IMDB. Furthermore, there is still plenty of source material available for the adaptation.

RELEASE DATE OF MY HERO ACADEMIA SEASON 5:

The anime is rumoured to release in spring 2021. However, no official release date is yet announced for My Hero Academia season 5.

Besides the several well-known leakers, Weekly Shonen Jump twitter page also tweeted the rumour on 30 September indicating that the rumours might be legitimate. Furthermore, it seems that spring 2021 fits the typical raise schedule for the anime.
