Sentai Filmworks Licenses Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit Anime

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit: Sentai Filmworks has reported on Tuesday for licensing Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit for digital release and home videos in some countries like the U.S., Canada, Ireland, Australia, Netherland, Spain Portugal, New Zealand, and the U.K.

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit- About Anime Series

This anime series was adapted on the first book of Moribito Novel Series which was written by Nahoko Uehashi. His fantasy-based novel consist 12 volume books. The novel series holds Batchelder Award in the year 2009. Being immensely popular, the novel series had been diversified in various works like a radio, digital comic series anime series, and taiga drama. It was adapted for an anime series in the year 2007 by Production I.G and was directed by Kenji Kamiyama. The series consists of 26 episodes and was first aired on April 7, 2007.

In the year 2014, the rights of the series were adapted by Viz Media which had released it on digital Blu-Ray Disc and DVDs in the origins of North America where the same series was released on home video by Media Blasters. It was also acquired by Adult Swim which released the series in the years 2008 and 2009. The series covers two theme songs, the opening song is Shine sung by L’Arc – en – Ciel and Itoshii Hito e for the ending which was the sung by Sachi Tainaka

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit- Plot

The series covers the adventures of Balsa who has huge abilities and uses her spear to save the lives of others by working as a bodyguard. Balsa goes on to save the life of the prince of New Yogo
In order to make amends of her deed of killing eight men. Chagum holds an egg of water spirit inside him for which they suffer an attempt of murder just to allow it to be born which will prevent the conditions of drought all of this at the condition of saving Chagum’s life.
