Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon TV anime opening theme song performed by SixTONES

The opening of Yashahime: The singer of Princess Half-Demon is the Japanese idol group SixTONES. The opening song is titled “NEW ERA,” which seems appropriate given that Yashahime will be speaking about the children of Inuyasha’s previous cast.

SixTONES member Jesse spoke to Famitsu about Yashahime’s opening song. He mentioned that creating the opening theme presented many challenges. Finally, SixTONES wanted to create a song that would adequately reflect the upcoming anime and have the same punch.
SixTONES is a Japanese idol group founded by Johnny & Associates, also known as Johnny’s. Other idol groups associated with the art agency include Hey! Say! JUMP. Takuya Kimura is one of the actors with the agency.

SixTONES ‘previous work included the opening of The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited. You can listen to this track below to get an idea of what Yashahime’s opening song might sound like.

It was an announcement that Japanese singer Uru would be responsible for Yashahime’s latest song: Princess Half-Demon.
Yashahime will play Sesshomaru’s twin daughters and Inuyasha and Kagome’s daughter.

The latest trailer for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon included a look at these new characters and some of the returning actors. Kaoru Wada will compose music for Yasahime, and Katsuyuki Sumisawa will be in charge of writing the series.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon will air in Japan on October 3, 2020. Viz Media will handle the broadcast for the North America and Latin America region.
