The organisation of petroleum exporting countries or OPEC basket oil increased above dollar 40 per barrel for the very first time in the last for months. The increase in price is reflected an increase in official selling prices.
On 1 July 2020, the prices of the barrel word nearly 12% more then the prices on June 30 2020. This also marked the highest price achieved since 3rd March 2020.
The rising prices reflected higher official selling price for several producers members of the organisation constituting of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and The UAE.
