Intense face off of Indian and Chinese armies at galwan Valley has given birth to a nation wide rage to Boycott Chinese products. Amid the social movement, RK Singh ,the power minister of India, on Friday give a notice saying that India will no longer import power equipments from China.
He requested several state distribution companies to resist giving orders for Chinese equipments supply while India is is on its toes to manufacture everything in the domestic domains. He also mentioned that by doing this we will create jobs for a country that does nothing but forcefully tries to harm the peace in India’s territory and Martyrs the Indian soldiers. Giving the strong message, he made clear that China and Pakistan will be put in the list of prior reference countries. By doing this they will be banned from selling their output in the Indian market.
India is heavily dependent upon Chinese for the supply of solar imports. 80% of these imports come from China and to reduce these, the power and new and renewable energy ministry will be levying nearly 15 to 20% duty which would increase to 40% in a year.Pointing out the dependency, RK Singh show that India has imported power equipments amounting to rupees 71,000 crore in total, out of which products costing Rs. 21,000 crore were from China.
The country cannot tolerate such high levels of dependency over the other countries especially those which transgress into India’s territory.Chinese Along with this, the imports may also have malware or trojan horse. These can be used to to remotely triple India’s power systems.
