Montalvo dies at 56
Recently on 17th October 2020, Broadway actress Doreen Montalvo passed away at the age of 56. USA TODAY has confirmed the news of Doreen’s death. And the news to USA TODAY has been given by Michael Rodriguez, her agent.
Doreen in 2008 appeared in Broadway original and later on, she joined On your feet. In the past 14 years, she made many guest appearances in TV shows. And a few famous ones are The Good Wife, Smash, Law and Order, and Madam Secretary.
Her upcoming works
She played small roles in West Side Story and In the Heights. Both of them are supposed to release this year but all got postponed due to the pandemic and stuff going on. They will be released next year in 2021 when things are kind of sorted out.
The maker of In the Heights has tweeted for Montalvo mentioning about her auditions and her work. Lin Manuel Miranda said It is devastating and really unfair that Montalvo and I didn’t get much time together and won’t be able to get it now. She even said – More music with her. More shows with her. More life with her. And when someone brings that much love and joy to everyone they meet, that much commitment to the craft they love. It is heartbreaking and devastating to each one of you too.
The director of In the Heights has also tweeted for Doreen. He said Doreen was a force of love and her vibes are great. Her love and Vibes seeped into movie’s every inch. And when she sings, she leaves imprints everywhere. And the ‘In The Heights’ family will live forever. Thank u, Doreen. U are loved by so many.
