Andrew Davies confirms Sanditon Series 2: Andrew Davies’s series Sanditon is an adaption of the unfinished script of Jane Austen. It is a British series starring Theo James and Rose Williams. The first season was initially aired on 25th august 2019 in 8 episodes on ITV in the United Kingdom and 0n January 12th, 2020, on PBS in the United States of America.

Earlier Andrew Davies said that It would be a great opportunity and we would love to make a come back with season 2. And he does have some ideas at that time. He also mentioned the way they ended series season one at a point where the audience is going to say this can’t happen, you cant end it that way.

Andrew adapted the series beautifully and tried completing the concept as it was incomplete due to the disappearance of Jane Austen.

Will, there going to be another season or not?

So if you have seen the show you might know why it ended like that.  There are many reasons why there isn’t going to be another season. And Andrew Davies has also confirmed that season 2 is currently not under development. It will be hard to guess whether there will going to be another season or not. But if we see Andrews tweet we should not expect much from that.

The reason for cancellation might be that ITV is back in Uk. ITV has refused to produce the show, As they did not get the desired number of critics In the UK. Sanditon was released against Peaky blenders which might steal the number of TRP as it was a blast.

However, people are requesting to save Sanditon. You might expect PBS to take it alone. However, PBS lacks a distributor.  But generally, Netflix comes as a savior in such conditions so just relax and wait for some good news.
