Another Stunning ‘Underground Railroad’ Teaser Has Been Shared By Barry Jenkins

Recently, on social media oscar winning filmmaker, Barry Jenkins shared a scary but beautiful teaser of his impending Amazon prime exclusive series ‘The Underground Railroad’, inspired from the 2017 Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name by Colson Whitehead.

Barry Jenkins shared the video on Twitter and captioned it as ‘We the people…’ The spectacular teaser trailer is set in a ocean of beautiful black people in a train station, looking firmly into the camera with dignity, passion and a bit of fury. They travel through the crowd and conclude on a group of ladies, who’re wearing train station uniforms. Additionally, a voice over is added in teaser asking, ‘Who built all this?’ The last part of the teaser is enough enticing and intriguing.

The Underground Railroad casting consists : Thuso Mbedu as Cora,Chase W. Dillon as Homer and Joel Edgerton as Rideway. The exclusive series follows young Cora and her journey as she embarks a desperate bid for independence in the antebellum South. After hiding her plantation of Georgia for Underground Railroad.

All the 10 episodes of The Underground Railroad are directed by Barry Jenkins and he also serves as a executive producer together with Colson Whitehead, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Sara Murphy, Sarah Esberg, Richard Heus and Jackie Hoyt. The score is given by Nicholas Brittel.

The Amazon Prime limited series is from the Plan B, Big Indie and PASTEL Productions. The Underground Railroad series comes as Barry Jenkins arrival into Television, following his 2018 feature If Beale Street Could Talk.
