Antebellum, One of the most Anticipated Horror movies of 2020 is coming to VOD

Antebellum: New horror movies are not necessarily the one which includes ghosts and vampires. They are more than just some fiction. These stories bring some horrific reality checks and that is scary enough.The demand for horror movies have increased over the years. The amount of thrill, excitement and shrill it bring is definitely unbeatable. The creators of these movies put a perfect blend of creativity and drama!! Antebellum has been one of the most anticipated movies for the year 2020. The release of this horror movie was delayed twice, which made the audience even more curious to watch the film. The viewers will now have to wait until fall 2020, to watch it on VOD.

The film was supposed to hit the theaters on April 24, but because of you know what (coronavirus pandemic, obviously), and the dates were postponed to August 24. The movie was pulled off from US release schedule, but it will still premiere internationally as scheduled.



Directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, the creators of Get Out and Us the movie is the first feature-length film. The movie revolves around the life of an author who finds herself transported in time to the American Slavery interval, and struggles to find her way back.

The directors of the movie said –

“We planned Antebellum to be a communal experience in the theaters, but are even more excited to pull it off in a unique kind of communal moment in our culture. We know how exactly the movie will affect the mindset of people, especially during these time of communal riots on the basis of race. Antebellum would release keeping into consideration all the safety measures and policies by the state authorities. We hope that the movie leaves a positive impact on people, and creating a moving experience.”


The movie was all hyped up, after the network released the official trailer of the movie. The movie stars Janelle Monae as Veronica Henley who is successful author, the lead role of the film. The movie also stars Marque Richardson, Eric Lange, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.
