He’s living with his wife and daughter. He still loves to work in the field, and is therefore not satisfied with his current professional status.
Dhananjay Rajput, on the other hand, had a new case in which a woman was murdered and brutally burned. Above all she was found hanging in a mysterious mask. Dhananjay asks Nikhil for assistance with this case. And he’s coming back to work in the field while accompanying his mentor, Dhananjay.
Meanwhile, Dhananjay Rajput argues that the killer is connected to their past. More relevantly, the return of Nikhil is not a coincidence; it was planned. Dhananjay is trying to warn Nikhil, but the assassin gets to Nikhil first and captures him.
Then there’s a chain of random murders, putting all the burden on Dhananjay Rajput’s shoulders. He also discovers a mythological connection between the murders and the murderer(s). He also gets to know that there is a whole different kind of world beyond his imagination.
Predicted Plot For Season 2:

The paths between Nikhil and Dhananjay will clear in the coming season, and they will join forces again. Another thing we don’t know about is the big plan in the mind of Asura. Maybe we’ll get to know how many Asurs there are and how deeply they’re involved in the system.
