When the rumours surrounding the same were floating around, the manager came out and said that it was not true. Although, he later confirmed that the rapper was ill at the time.
His real name was Marcel Theo Hall and he was born in April, 1967 in the city of Harlem, NY. Thereafter, he had adopted the stage name Biz Markie. He had first started his career in the nightclubs in New York but later expanded his presence to colleges.
During his career which spanned about 35 years, he had worked as a DJ, producer, rapper, actor, comedian writer. His first album was called Goin’ Off which came out in the year 1988.
He had also appeared in a number of TV shows over the years. It has also been revealed that he guest starred in an episode of Spongebob Squarepants.
