Blumhouse to hit Amazon Prime Video with 4 new horror movies this October

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime has released four trailers for each of its new movies in its Welcome to Blumhouse movie series. Each of the four movies will launch on the streaming service just in time for Halloween in October. All four films are part of a collaboration between Amazon and Blumhouse Productions. The film series is expecting a feature of a variety of aspiring actors and filmmakers. All four trailers were out on the Amazon Prime YouTube channel.

The films are to premiere as feature films, with The Lie and Black Box opening together on October 6 and Evil Eye and Nocturne opening the following week on October 13. The various movies offer a real roster of talents, including Joey King, Sydney Sweeney, Mireille Enos, Phylicia Rashad, and Peter Sarsgaard.

Each movie illuminates a different gruesome story. The lie shows a family covering up for their daughter’s murderous activities. Black Box tells of a man on experimental treatment who tries to regain his memory after a tragic car accident. Evil Eye focuses on the maternal paranoia of her daughter’s new boyfriend. After all, Nocturne is a ghost story about a pair of twins at an elite art academy.

Blumhouse has dominated the horror genre in recent years, releasing a string of hits. Currently, studio director Jason Blum is focused on the future, studying how horror movies are made in the post-pandemic world. With Welcome to the Blumhouse, Blum has found one of these solutions. The first four films are part of a planned eight-film series, with four more appearing in 2021.
