Bob Dylan Biopic Starring Timothée Chalamet Will Not Be Happening Anytime Soon

Reportedly,  the biopic of Bob Dylan, which is all set to star Timothée Chalamet in the main role is not happening anytime soon, stated by the cinematographer of the film.

The next project of Phedon Papamichael was slated to be the biopic, having the work title as Going Electric. Recently, in an interview he revealed the film’s future stating that, it has been put on hold. He said that they’re going to do Bob Dylan with the director James Mangold, which didn’t happen with Timothée Chalamet Going Electric in the 60s.

According to the claims made by Phedon Papamichael the film’s need for specific time settings and creating costumes was proven challenging with the global pandemic protocols and restrictions, hence they were forced to delay the film. He further stated that he doesn’t think it is dead but it’s really hard to shoot in coronavirus pandemic as it’s all in small clubs with periodic costumes and hence much hair and make up variations will be needed. It was speculated that Timothèe Chalamet had taken advise from Joel Coen to play the role of legendary musician.

In an interview, the actor revealed that he asked Joel Coen for his upcoming role and discussed about it, in a dine out. The most incredible thing about Bob Dylan was not the quality but the quantity i.e the immediate work in short span of time with back to back albums in the early years, explained Joen Coen.

While, Bob Dylan is currently working on an adaptation of John Grisham’s book ‘Calico Joe’ with George Clooney, the book is baseball themed.

In June, he also launched a new album ‘Rough And Rowdy’, which was reviewed as grandest poetic statement.
