The books we read stay with us for a long time and with a book we also develop a strange bond of similarity with the author of the book. Souly on the basis of the kind of writing and thoughts booth share. After sharing that bond if our favourite author passes away our heart aches.
Same happened to us when we were struck with the news of Carlos Ruiz Zafón our favourite author who wrote best selling novels including The Shadow Of the Wind, died at the age of 55.
The novelist is known for his Spanish writing and dialect. He is known as the most Spanish read author around the world. He passed away in his home in Los Angles after being diagnosed with colon cancer in the year 2018. This news was ousted by the publisher Planeta the same day.
The entire country has been mourning on his death. On that note the Prime Minister of Spain also tweeted saying “We have lost one of the world’s most read and most admired Spanish writers. Carlos Ruiz Zafón, a key novelist of our epoch, made a significant contribution to modern literature.”
When Planeta ousted the news they said that he was an amazing author of all times. They also mentioned that every book that he has written till date has a world significance along with a soul significance. The books had his soul in every book with the potential of making the readers feel that he himself is narrating those. They said that Carlos was not only the person who wrote the book but also the person who added soul to it. The books were something he read and dreamt about along with living those books.
Talking about his achievements we cannot forget the facts about his life. Carlos was born in Barcelona and grew in a loving family with both his parents. He was always a free minded person with a knack of writing. In his initial days he worked in the field of Advertising before he realised his real potential was in writing novels author.
