He was an American actor known for his many famous portrayals. The most famous being of the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Boseman appeared in Gary Fleder’s The Express in 2008. It was a sports biopic about Ernie Davis, who played during the civil rights era.

In 2012, Boseman played the lead role in the film The Kill Hole, directed by Mischa Webley.

The plot revolves around the life of Oregon who is a taxi driver as well as an Iraq War veteran. He is haunted by the memories of his past.

Around the same time, Boseman played the lead role in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, which tells the story of the legendary baseball player. The baseball player broke all the racial barriers by becoming the first African American to play in the majors in the 20th century.

Black Panther – The Turning Point

Boseman joined the MCU  in 2016, with his appearance in the superhero blockbuster  Captain America: Civil War. He played the role of king of the African county of Wakanda, who becomes the powerful Black Panther.

Chadwick gained immense popularity for the role of Black Panther.

His fans and followers loved his remarkable performance as the King of Wakanda.

Death

Sadly, Boseman passed away on 28th August 2020 from colon cancer.

His social media accounts had a statement which read – “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman”.

Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016. He battled with it for the last four years as it got progressed to stage IV.

His social media statement also stated him as a “true fighter”. It stated that he persevered through it all and brought us many remarkable films.

From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, all were filmed during and between enormous surgeries and chemotherapies.  It was really the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. It is mentioned that he died in his home with his family and wife by his side.

Boseman had kept his severe illness a secret from the world. His sudden and most unexpected death only at the age of 43 came as a shock worldwide.

The special Chadwick Boseman: A Tribute for a King has made its way to Disney+.

His demise came as a shock as he was still young. None of his fans were aware of his ongoing illness.
