Cheese in the Trap Season 2: A stunning South Korean drama, Cheese in the Trap, presented a love story in a totally different way and made us all fall for it. Written by Kim Nam-hee and Go Sun-hee and director Lee Yoon-Jung, the first season of the series was a success. The series was a brilliant adaptation of the web-toon of the same name. The impression left behind by the show is absolutely unforgettable because of its success and presentation. Its season 1 left behind its fans wanting more, i.e. season two.

Release Date

It’s been quite some time since the first season of the show was released. The debut season of the Cheese in the Trap show was broadcast on the TVN cable network on 4 January 2016. The first season of the show had 16 episodes, which ran until 1 March 2016. The final story of the 16th episode of the show, however was different from that of the web-toon.

Kim Go-Eun made her performance unforgettable with her debut on the Cheese in the Trap TV show. She was seen as a lovely, empathetic girl who sees and believes in people’s goodness. She was awarded the Best New Actress Award for her appearance in the “Muse” series and made her success extraordinary.

We also saw Park Hae-jin with her who played the character of Yoo Jung, a wealthy, famous and successful boy, and also has a dark side of being manipulative and cold. He’s known for his exceptional performance in “Bad Guys.”

With the two leads, the series also features the actor Seo Kang-Joon and Lee Sung-Kyung, who are seen playing the part of the siblings Beak in-ho and Beak In-ha. They were adopted into the family of Jung, but later, because of their temperament, they drifted away from him.


Cheese in the Trap begins by giving us an in-depth description of the characters of Hong Seol and Yoo Jung. All in all, the show features interesting plots that will easily get everyone addicted to the show and want more. The plot revolves around Hong Seol, which is seen torn between choosing love and fleeing its darkness.
