Chet Hanks expects Adele to call him after his Jamaican Patois gesture of hitting on her


Chet Hanks is Tom Hanks‘s son and he asked Adele to call him after she shared a picture of herself. Her picture was from Notting Hill Carnival.


Adele who is The “Hello” singer broke the internet this week.  She posted  a picture on  Instagram where she was seen  wearing a Jamaican flag bikini and her hair in Bantu knots


The picture grabbed the attention of Chet Hanks. His real name is  Chester Hanks. Chet Hanks made headlines earlier this year. There was a clip of him speaking to Patois while he was attending the Golden Globes with his parents. Further, the clip went viral.

Chet Haze is 30 years old.  He shared a tongue-in-cheek video in response to Adele’s picture as he listened to her 2011 song “Set Fire to the Rain” in his car.

Chet Haze while Singing and fist-pumping along to the track, turned the music down in order to compliment Adele. In Patois, he gestured at his phone for her to call him.

Haze captioned the video requesting someone to tell Adele to hit his line as soon as possible. Further, he mentioned that he needed to talk to her about something. Also, he added a collection of Jamaican flag emojis.

Adele shared the picture over the bank holiday weekend when Notting Hill Carnival would have taken place. To this, the Tottenham-born singer wrote, “Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London.”

There was much debate online about the picture. Some people accused Adele of cultural appropriation. Further, one of her followers commented that Black women are discriminated against for wearing cultural hairstyles like Bantu knots and locks on the other hand white people are not. He further wrote that’s not fair and that’s why people are pissed off.

On the other hand, there were people who didn’t mind the hairstyle. One of her fans wrote that she is Jamaican and she doesn’t mind this at all.
