Chucky TV Series production gets delayed until 2021 due to COVID

Surely even the TV series Chucky can’t scare away COVID-19. Deadline made an announcement that the production of Chucky is delayed until 2021. It is the new USA network and Syfy Child’s play series. The shooting of the show was presumed to begin in Toronto this fall.

The teaser trailer of the tv series Chucky:

Though there was a delay in shooting nevertheless we don’t expect it to impact the debut date of the series.  The TV series is on track and is expected to premiere in 2021. A few weeks ago a teaser trailer was out. A teaser portraying everyone’s favorite serial killer doll that is possessed by the soul of Charles Lee Ray was posted online. Though the teaser trailer was short yet it managed to excite its fans and they were curious to know as to what’s to come.

The series is supposedly within the original franchise that began in 1988. And since then it has spanned seven movies. However, it seems that the upcoming series has no connection to last year’s CHILD’S PLAY remake. Brad Dourif is all fan’s favorite. He is expected to reprise the vital role of Chucky for the series. Further, Jennifer Tilly is too involved with the show. Jennifer Tilly played the role of Tiffany Valentine in the BRIDE OF CHUCKY, SEED OF CHUCKY, CURSE OF CHUCKY, and CULT OF CHUCKY.

The show Comes from CHILD’S PLAY creator Don Mancini and Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca. At the beginning of the series,  a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale.

In addition, the arrival of enemies and supporters from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings. Furthermore, they threaten to expose the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
