Writer-producer says Season 3 is ready to go, so when will it release?

Cobra Kai Season 3: Cobra Kai is the thirty-five year later spin-off to the legendary movie 90’s movie The Karate Kid. The show continues with the rivalry between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence.


Cobra Kai began with its pilot episode releasing on 2 May 2018 on Youtube Premium. The show immediately picked up a dedicated fanbase. It has a now soaring rating of 8.8 on IMDb and 94% on Rotten Tomatoes for both critics and audience scores.


The show’s streaming service has changed recently. Now season one and two will be available with the upcoming season 3 on Netflix.  This has helped the show to reach a wider audience. Since its shift to Netflix, it has held a position in the top on Netflix US.

Cobra Kai Season 3 Release Date

The film is all set to launch in September 2021. Although Netflix has not yet announced the exact date for the arrival we know it will be out next year. The film faced delays in production due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

What to expect from Cobra Kai Season 3?

All the cast and crew including the leading member’s Ralph Macchio and William Zabka will reunite for season 3. Cobra Kai’s second season ended on a cliffhanger with Miguel Diaz ending up in the hospital. Spoiler alert! It has been confirmed that Xolo Mariduena the actor who played Miguel Diaz will be returning for season 3.

The Karate Kid franchise, for the first time, has shot its scenes in Okinawa, Japan. Though the movie Karate Kid 2 has a plot that revolves around Okinawa the movie was shot in Hawaii. Cobra Kid Season 3 plot takes us to Okinawa and the audience will finally be able to see scenes shot in that location.
