Former Love Island star Josh Denzel accidentally used swearword during an interview with Crystal Palace winger Wilfield Zaha which made Walker apologize.
Football Focus is one of the popular sports show on BBC TV presented by Dan Walker. On Saturday, 20th June 2020 after BBC aired Football Focus in which Dan Walker was joined by former Love Island’s star Josh Denzel and Crystal Palace winger Wilfield Zaha via zoom video call. After a long programme was filmed live through zoom meeting which was telecasted on BBC TV.
While interviewing Crystal Palace forward Wilfield Zaha, Josh was discussing about his hairstyle and accidentally used the swearword. He said: “As you can see my trim is a little bit different now because my housemate Jon is a massive Palace.” But while having a casual chit-chat he moved a way too far, as he said: “He rowed f****** five marathons in five days on the rowing machine.”
After this incident, Dan Walker issued an apology. However, he blamed the ‘dodgy zoom line’ for it. Afterward, he took to Twitter to apologize he say, “Really sorry about the swearing you might have heard on #FootballFocus today. I know a lot of kids watch the show and we are trying to work out what happened. Apologies,” He continued, “I should say apologize if you heard some rogue language earlier.”
Later, while coming back to his social media account Josh Denzel reassured his fans that it wasn’t the ‘swearing’ but ‘a dodgy zoom line’ which was at fault. In the comment section, many of the fans tweeted asking about the expletive.
One fan asked: “Anyone else hear the F word in the Zaha interview just now on football focus??”
Other said: “Swearing on an episode of Football Focus might be the most disconcerting thing I’ve ever heard. Shaken to the core.”
Even there was a tweet from one of the parents saying that: “My 9 year old just asked me if the F word was just spoken????”
To this Walker replied, “Sorry if you had to have a surprising conversation with your children.”
