Dead Island was launched in the year 2011. Dead Island 2 is a survival horror action RPG that is coming soon to the market. The game has been delayed since it has undergone the development process.
After the reveal of Dead Island 2 in the year 2016, it has been under development since then, but now you know that how it would have looked if Deep Silver and Yager haven’t parted their ways. A June 2015 build has leaked out via Eurogamer and Kotaku which reportedly originated on 4chan, which depicts how the game was evolving in its original form. The game moved round the creatively shooting and slicing zombies in Los Angeles. Surprisingly, it was complete with the three locations with a variety of characters and little touches such as head stomping- it wouldn’t have been ready for shipping but it might have not required such amount of time.
Deep Silver and Yager parted their paths weeks after this build was available in July 2015. Then Sumo Digitals took the position from Yager in March 2016. The Sumo version of Dead Island2 is under development process still. However, no official gameplay of Dead Island 2 has been released since Gamescom in the 2014.
In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Klemens Kundratitz the CEO of THQ Nordic said that the state of Dead Island 2 and its acquisition is between several developer studios. “It’s a great story to tell everyone that it’s on a third studio. But we’ll be the judge on the end result and we’re really confident when it comes out, it’s going to be a kick-ass zombie game.” As explained by Kundratitz.
Dead Island 2 is currently said to be under the development process and is expected to be launched on the PC, PS4 and the Xbox One. However, there is no official release date for Dead Island 2.
