Great news for all the space genre lovers, a new alien film is on its way and in the making- confirms director Ridley Scott.
He had also directed Alien previously which was released in 1979 and gained immense popularity and fame.

Ridley Scott is an English film director and producer who is best known for directing the science fiction film- Alien (1979).
Scott’s films after this were set in contemporary times, including thrillers. Some of the thrillers were-
Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) and Black Rain (1989). These were too admired for their visual styling and amazing storylines.
Scott’s other film, Thelma and Louise (1991) which was based on the feminism theme. It received an Academy Award nomination for his work.
Gladiator, a commercial success, won Academy Award for best picture. Also, it earned Scott his second Oscar nomination for best director.

Director Ridley Scott confirmed that a new film in the space-horror saga is in the works.
He also revealed that a new film is unlikely to take place in the prequel universe. It was because it is visited by the two most recent films- Prometheus (2012) and 2017 (Alien: Covenant)
Unfortunately, there are no details for the date, casting, or plot of the new Alien film.
There was a site that has reported that two producers were working on a script idea that might world of dreams.
It said that it would include iconic character Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver). Weaver herself hinted that same month that it might be time to give Ripley’s rest.”
Scott kicked off the blockbuster Alien franchise with the original movie back in 1979 but didn’t direct three sequels- Aliens in 1986, Alien 3 in 1992, and Alien Resurrection in 1997.
It is more than 30 years later that he returned for the prequel series.
Scott has recently directed the first two episodes of Raised by Wolves. It is a new HBO Max series in which androids raise human children on a mysterious planet.
Hoping to see the prequel on the big screen soon and that it would be a blockbuster just as Alien 1979.
