Disney XD Channel Will Be Ending in Japan in January 2021

On 13th October 2020, Disney announced that it will be going to shutter the Natgeo Wild, Disney XD and Fox movie channels in Japan. It mentions that as a part of a larger business the media properties in the region. Here is what you all need to know about what all Disney is doing.

When will Disney shutter its channel in Japan?

Disney will going to shutter channels in Japan on 31st January 2021. Channels like Fox movies, Natgeo Wild, and the main Disney XD will be gone.

Apart from this Disney also trying to unfold its Star Wars DX and Marvel DX services in Japan into the new Disney Deluxe service.

In 2009 the Disney XD launched in Japan. The channel airs Japanese anime, cartoons, sports, and live-action movies and series. The most famous anime of the channel are- The Prince of Tennis, Big Windup, Keroro Gunso, Denno Coil, and Inazuma Eleven.

Before Japan where did Disney shutters the channels

So before Japan, Disney announced about shutting down Disney channels in Singapore and the UK.

This move very clearly indicated that the entertainment conglomerate is diverting all traffic to its almost-one-year-old streaming service which is Disney+. As per the official notice, all Disney XD programming will head to Disney Channel and Disney+ in Japan.

The official notice by Disney says Is is a really amazing experience and Thankyou for watching Disney XD since 2009. It will be going to shut down on 31st January 2021 at 24:00. Apart from this SKY perfeTV’s subscriptions will be going to end on 31st December 2020, an announcement made by The Walt Disney Company.

Disney also announced its launch of Disney+ Hotstar in Singapore on 1 November taking its humongous library to the loyal Disney audience in the country.
