Reportedly, Doc Martin British drama starring Martin Clunes as a short-tempered doctor is going to end with it’s tenth and final season.
ITV renewed ‘Doc Martin’ for the tenth season, with the production expected to begin in early 2021. The series airs on Acorn TV in the United States.

The series depicts a medical comedy-drama, starring Martin Clunes in the lead role. It is developed by Dominic Minghella and written by Philippa Braithwaite. The series initially premiered back in 2004 and till date has given nine successful seasons. A television film also released on 25th December in 2006 based on the show. The season nine released last year in September.
The show revolves around Dr. Martin Ellingham a flourished surgeon in London but he develops hemophobia- the fear of blood, which forces him to stop operating surgeries. Later, he decides to work as a general practitioner in the isolated Cornish Village, Portwenn. The storyline follows Dr. Martin’s interrelationships with the villagers. Martin Ellingham, inspite of being a good doctor, lacks communication skills and behaves rudely with his patients. His unpleasant behavior offends many villagers.
The series cast includes: Caroline Catz as Dr. Martin’s wife, Louisa Ellingham; Dame Eileen Atkins as Dr. Martin’s Aunt Ruth; Ian McNeice’s as Bert Large, Joe Absolom as his son; John Marquez as PC Joe Penhale; Jessica Ransom as doctor’s receptionist Morwenna Newcross; and Selina Cadell as pharmacist Mrs. Tishell.
Producer Philippa Braithwaite, as the maker of the show stated that, They loved making ninth series of the show and never imagined during the launch of season one in 2004, that the viewers will like the show so much. The series has a huge fan base throughout the world. However, they feel it is the right time to end the series and weave goodbye to Dr. Martin. She added: The filming of the final series will begin in 2021 at the location Cornwall.
