The film was slated for December 2021 release but got postponed due to the impact of COVID-19. The shooting of Black Adam is now officially slated to start in Spring 2021. Many years ago, Dwayne Johnson joined the DC Universe to play the role of Black Adam in a movie. Simultaneously, Dwayne Johnson was suppose to play the role of villain in Shazam! However, those plans were altered to instead make a solo film on Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson has developed his DC Extended Universe from years and it was finally progressing prior to coronavirus pandemic.
Currently, Warner Bros and DC are figuring out the other cast along with Dwayne Johnson. Reportedly, Noah Centineo is confirmed to play the role of Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge is set to play the role of Hawkman. They are two assigned heroes who will be helping the Justice Society of United States in Black Adam. As per the speculations, some reports began questioning the future of the movie. As a segment, a major release date reshuffling. The film Black Adam lost its premiere date of December 2021 and Warner Bros didn’t give it a new one. This caused some fans to be concerned if the film was going to be delayed but it doesn’t seem to happen.
As Dwayne Johnson confirmed in an social media post that the plan for Black Adam of production to start in early 2021. As of now, he is busy shooting for Netflix’s Red Notice and will finish the production on the upcoming action movie in November 2020. After that, Dwayne Johnson will start work for his NBC show Young Rock. He then revealed that Black Adam is next project on his schedule and it is set to start shooting in Atlanta.
