It is directed by Mike Flanagan and created by him as well based on the novel with the same name. Season 1 released on Netflix consisting of 10 episodes on October 12, 2018. This is a widely watched supernatural web series and is one of Netflix’s top 10.

3. The storyline had to end in a much darker way than it did in season’s closure

Well, like every other horror show or a movie, a happy ending is not a thing. And so for this series, The Haunting of the Hill House, there wasn’t a happy ending as well, unlike the way the season wrapped up on a happy note. The story had to end with the Crain family stuck in a red room, however, the show makers didn’t want the Crain family to have a tough time now so they planned an altogether with a different ending on a happier note.

4. Throughout filming, the cast was disturbed because of the storyline

The cast themselves were frightened and has scary feels while filming the entire series. The actor Oliver Jackson in his interview talked about the cast of the series often getting spooked because of the scary plot of the show. Though they believe ghosts and haunting aren’t real, the whole experience of filming this horror show was a scary experience for the crew.
