Family Reunion Part 3 – Expected release date, story line, cast, plot and everything you need to know!

Family Reunion is one of the funniest Netflix Original family sitcoms. Directed by Eric Dean, the show follows the life of an African-American family, the McKellans. They move from Seattle to Georgia to be with their extended family. With an all-black cast and some good writing, the show manages to depict African-American culture and southern charm in a very lively way.

Expected release date of Family Reunion Part 3:

As it has done with many other shows such as ‘No Good Nick’ and ‘The Ranch’, Netflix divided the seasons into parts. Season 1 had 20 episodes, divided into two parts of 10 episodes each. Part 1 of the season premiered in July 2019. One episode of part 2 was released as a holiday special in December 2019 and the remaining nine episodes were released on January 20, 2020. Netflix has renewed the show for the third part(which probably marks the beginning of season 2 having 16 episodes. But like many other shows, the pandemic has derailed the shooting of the show. Thus, viewers will have to wait at least early 2021 for the third part.

Expected story-line and plot:

The show follows the life of the McKellans, as they leave their happening and busy city life in Seattle and move to Columbus, Georgia. The McKellan’s left the west coast because they wanted to live with the matriarch of the family M’Dear and grandfather McKellan and go back to where it all began.

The couple, Cocoa and Moz find it difficult to adjust to the hot, humid summers of the south and three-hour church services but the comfort of the countryside and M’Dear’s delicious cooking is worth all the challenges.

The show focuses on how the couple and their children deal with family dynamics and learn to live like a family under a single roof. This story of intergenerational bonding and family love leads to many heartwarming and funny moments.
