Reportedly, Fatman: The dark comedy film, starring Mel Gibson as Santa Claus has acquired U.S. rights by Saban films. Fatman is expected to release in September 2020. The agreement reconciles the company with writers and directors Eshom and Ian Nelm Brothers as the Saban Films released ‘Small Town Crime’ in 2017.

The other stars in the film are Walton Goggins and Marianne Jean Baptiste. In the movie, a preciously-ignored 12-year-old boy hires a gunman to murder Santa Claus as he receives loads of coal in his Christmas stockings.
Mel Gibson plays the role of an unusual Santa Claus, who is struggling to manage his declining business.
The film Fatman is produced by Fortitude International’s Nadle de Barros and Mammoth Entertainment’s Todd Courtney, with Michelle Lang, Robert Menzies, and Lisa Walofsky.
As this is the second collaboration of Saban films with the Nelm Brothers, Bill Bromiley stated that they’re very thrilled and excited to present a unique movie to the audiences. The duo is really very talented and they were attached to the film right from the scripting process.
The international rights for the film are handled by Fortitude International. Jonathan Saba and Bill Bromiley are serving as executive producers, accompanied by the financiers of the film; Hans Hufschmid and Todd Courtney and furthermore Brandon James, Alastair Burlingham, The Film House’s Ryan R. Johnson, Windy Hill Pictures’ Buddy Patrick, Gary Raskin, Ben Rosenblatt, Kyle Stroud, and Ingenious Media’s Peter Touche and Samantha Allwinton.
