Reportedly, ITV’s cold crime drama series ’Unforgotten’ Season 4 has resumed shooting after it was halted in March due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The news surfaced after official account of Unforgotten tweeted about the show’s comeback and also stated that, the show will launch in 2021 exclusively on ITV.
While, Sanjeev Bhaskar also tweeter about, Going back to work with his beloved bagpack, along with the tweet a picture of him holding up the bagpack was also posted by him.
The series is created by Chris Lang and revolves around the lead characters DCI Cassie Stuart and Sunny Khan, attempting to solve series of crime cases especially murders, the cases that are not solved for many years.
The shooting of Season 4 of ‘Unforgotten’ started in January 2020 but it was closedown in March 2020 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
It will be interesting to see how the two months of initial footage will be intertwined with new footage as the filming resumed almost after 6 months of break. As per the sources, the shooting restarted with episode one, scene one.

The fourth season will start with the unearthing of a damaged dead body in a scrap metal yard. The body is of Millwall Football Club supporter Matthew Walsh. The detectives feels that earlier the body had been stored in a freezer for more than 30 years.
Analysing about his disappearance since 90s and freezer’s owner is no more, the conspiracy behind Matthew Walsh’s murder is very complicated to solve.
Meanwhile, Cassie returns to work inspite of retiring from the police force.
Along with Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nicola Walker, the other cast of the fourth season includes : Sheila Hancock, Susan Lynch, Phaldut Sharma, Liz White, Andy Nyman, Clare Calbraith and Lucy Speed.
