Former Ozzy Osbourne and Uriah heep drummer Lee Kerslake, dies at 73

Lee Kerslake was the best known longtime drummer and backing vocalist. He worked in the rock band Uriah Heep and with Ozzy Osbourne in the early 1980s. He was an English Musician. Lee was born in England’s Winton. And ages 73 when died.


Lee started his career in the late 1960s in England band The Gods. There he released 3 albums and after that, he joined Uriah Heep in 1971. He even worked with Ozzy Osbourne.

Lee was suffering from Prostate cancer and fighting with it. It was long since he was suffering but who could win a battle against cancer, and that too prostate cancer end-stage.

A long-running Facebook page of heeps announced this news.

Singer Bernie Shaw pens down an emotional message while announcing. He said Well, I don’t even know how to describe, where are the words to describe this feeling of losing a close friend, a colleague, and a fellow bandmate for over 30 years. let alone when it’s someone larger than life like Lee Kerslake?  Lee was one of the major voices in Uriah Heep band.

Shaw was a band member too but he later joined a=the band. Even the pens down something for Lee. Stating he was a generous person. Always smiling and ready to entertain everyone.

Ozzy Osbourne says Its been years I think 39 years or 40 since I have seen Kerslake but he will forever and ever. He played many things for me and those were great. RIP Lee Kerslake.

In 2018 December lee Kerslake announced about his prostate cancer. He later on after a month joined Uriah Heep on stage performance in London.

The official twitter account of Uriah Heep, lead guitarist Mick Box called Kerslake One of the kindest men on earth and “an incredible drummer, singer, and songwriter.”
