Some players of the Fortnite: Battle Royal has found out an incredible way to pass their time the last week when they were waiting for the Season 3. After some experiments the players were able to create their own free-flying drones that will explode when they come close to any other player. Here’s how that works.

This method was originally discovered by a Reddit user Slushguy, who succeed in combining two in-game explosives, the proximity mine and remote explosives, by keeping both of them on an editable wall with the mine above the C4. The players can edit the wall in order to remove its upper half using Fortnite ’s building tools once both the items are next to each other on the wall. The proximity mine, then falls on C4 and begins to float in the forward direction.

How to make a drone from FortNiteBR

“Imagine being some random person looting. You look up and see a fricking proximity mine and C4 flying over you. You think it’s some visual glitch, but no, you just die,” Reddit user Jackson1013 replied to the thread of Slushguy on Fortnite’s battle royale subreddit.

When Slushguy uploaded his video last week, many other players came up with their videos of building those explosive drones themselves. Fortnite Flowey, Twitter user made the use of the harpoon guy to latch on to his drone which propelled him off his tower, giving him an opportunity to land a tricky shot.

However, these Drones probably will have a short life span along with the incoming of Season 3 which is slated to start this month with alterations on the map. As expected by the players, the method will either be patched out or one of the items will get vaulted for something new.
