What was the petition all about?

After the final season of the series, fans were not at all happy. There were many complaints on social media regarding the same. One of the angry Game of Thrones fans set a petition to have HBO go back and remake the last season.

A petition was made regarding the eighth season of Game of Thrones on Change.org. Also, the petition received 2 million signatures.

The online petition was started by Dylan D.Petition targeting the showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss with a title as Remake Game of Thrones season 8 with competent writers. Through the petition, the fans demanded a final season that made sense.

Although this is never going to happen, the petition became quite popular and did gain a response from HBO. Nikolaj admitted that reshoot is something that will never happen. Speaking to Variety, he said that as a little experiment he nearly contributed financially to the cause. Also, he is fascinated by modern fan culture.

What Waldau said regarding the petition?

Coster Waldau played the role of Jaime Lannister and he doesn’t support the movement of the fans. Waldau said that asking for a new ending for the show is very hilarious. Also, He said that the show had to end and it did not matter what fans thought. Moreover, He added that fans were very upset that the show ended. And everyone wanted a specific ending and not what they got. Further, He explained it by saying that it’s like a combination that you expected an end to the show but as a hardcore fan you are upset that the show ended.

Does Waldau misses the show?

Nikolaj Coster Waldau said last week that since the story is over, he no longer misses the show. He further added that he misses his friends. Since they spent eight to ten years together, they made strong friendships. Further, he told his experience to be an incredible one.

It is true that the final season of Game of Thrones will not be re-written and fans should now focus on the final book in the series which is yet to be delivered by George R.R. Martin.
