AS we have said earlier, there have been a lot of TV shows which have had to be paused due to COVID. It seems Gangs of London is another. For the last few days, COVID cases have been rising in Europe and America and this has led to a lot of shows being postponed. Read on to find out more.
The European continent has been experiencing a deadly wave of coronavirus infections. It seems that the third wave of virus has arrived at its shores. Recently, it was revealed that the Health Secretary of UK had contracted the virus. This had also prompted Boris Johnson, the UK PM to isolate himself. This is because he has been in regular contact with the Secretary. But, as we said earlier, several TV shows and Netflix specials have had to be postponed because crew members have been testing positive. Now, it seems that the latest victim to this wave has been Gangs of London.
Gangs of London: The gangland drama has stopped production
This is following the wave that has been raging through the UK. One of the crew members had tested positive so the rest of them had to stop production. This is also due to the good policy that the sets have been conducting the corona tests regularly. It has been revealed that the Gangs of London have been conducting the tests twice a week. This is a good policy and similar policies are being adopted across the sets.
One of the Sky spokesperson also came out and spoke about this delay in the production. She said – “Throughout this time, the safety of our colleagues and customers remains our number one priority. Gangs of London Season 2 production has temporarily been suspended with cast and crew now self-isolating. We will return to production as soon as it is safe to do so.”
