The series is set in the backdrop of the 1950’s Rio de Janeiro. The story revolves around Malu, a young and wealthy woman who is in search of her identity amidst the emergence of bossa nova in the city. After the disappearance of her husband, she opens a Bossa Nova club. The series shows Malu stuck between her conservative life in So Paulo and her dream of freedom in Rio.
In season 2, we saw the story giving importance to all the friends of Malu, showcasing their individual dreams and struggles. All of her friends had built a beautiful bond among themselves.
