Ophelia Liu, the winner of the season’s finale, has been creating her own spectrum of popularity by connecting and collaborating with multiple celebrity photographers, bands, and artists, all the while abiding by the rules of the lockdown as imposed by the government.  “I feel like we have taken normal for granted and this really sets professional makeup artists at an even higher level,” she said, responding to an email that asked her about her situation during the global health crisis.

Runner-up James Mac Inerney, has been working hard on developing his skills as a make-up artist, working with some respected organizations. He is currently following quarantine rules strictly in Ireland but plans to return to London soon for some editorial shoots and campaigns.

Another one of the audience’s loved contestants has a whole new job to assist her on this path to a career in the make-up industry. Hannah Cunnigham is now an employee and works as an Assistant Manager at a make-up salon. She is gaining work experience by learning about different types of skin types and tones.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, has announced that make-up artists would be able to return to work after 15 August, pertaining to the guidelines of COVID-19. Working as a make-up artist is difficult in this world as providing personalized beauty services isn’t exactly “social distancing”. Only time will tell exactly how every situation will slowly return to normal.
