Godfather TV series

“I am going to make him an offer he can’t refuse”. Without a doubt, The Godfather is the greatest mafia movie of all time. Based on Mario Puzo’s novel of the same name, the Godfather series left the audience thunderstruck. So, it is likely that fans would want to know how it all began.

ViacomCBS’s new streaming service Paramount+ has announced that an original ten-episode mini-series about the making of Godfather is in the works. The series named The Offer would closely follow Oscar-Winning Producer Al Ruddy’s experience while making the stupendous movie.

The Offer is written by Michael Tolkin and Leslie Greif. Both of the screenwriters and Al Ruddy are also the executive producers of the series.

The mini-series would likely revolve around the story of how Ruddy convinced Marlon Brando to take on the role of Vito Corleone and how he and the makers tackled Hollywood’s skepticism about making a gangster movie into a big success.

The Godfather franchise was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The first two movies in the series won the Academy Award for best movie and for best-adapted screenplay. The last movie to the trilogy was made almost thirty years after the premiere film.

The Offer series will be made available on Paramount+ in 2021.
