Gossip Girl Reboot, Gossip girl is the forthcoming teen American drama television web series based on the 2007 series, Gossip Girl by Cecily Von Ziegesar. The show is produced by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Gina Girolamo, Joshua Safran, and Leslie Morgenstein. The rebooted version of Gossip Girl will land up on HBO Max.

The series was originally planned to launch in May 2020 but the coronavirus has halted the production. According to a report from Vulture by Kevin Reilly, the chief content officer: “They hadn’t even started production yet; they were in pre-production and ready to roll.”
The production date is still not known however, it will take a lot of time before the release of the show. The show will release somewhere in 2021, still, there is no actual confirmation.

According to the report from Deadline, “Peak, Brown, and Lind as the leading trio and Fernandez and Gotay as members of the core ensemble.”
Apart from them, many other characters will be seen along with Tavi Gevinson.

The official synopsis of the show reads, “Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years.”
Even the screenwriter had teased out some details to The Hollywood Reporter. He says, “It’s just a new look at this particular society in New York, the idea being that society changes constantly.”
He further added, “So how has this world changed, how has social media and it’s effect changed? All of these things allow us to look at the world 12 years on as opposed to just redoing the thing.”
