All the Gundam fans can now see a gigantic version of the robot at the Gundam Factory in Yokohama. The official date for opening is confirmed now. Let’s find more about this.
Well, a video of a gigantic robot got viral on Twitter recently when a robot is moving its torso, hand, head, and arm with ease. It is something that should be got viral. The robot was weighed 25 metric tons and 18 meters tall.
The giant robot was located outside the Gundam factory.
After years of construction and planning to concur with the 40th anniversary of the franchise, along with a delay from its planned October opening.
When will it open?
It will officially open on 19th December 2020 in Japan. The long-awaited GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA will formally open to tourists, Gundam otaku, and for the city residents.
It will consist of two areas Gundam-dock and Gundam-Lab. In the dock, the maintenance and performance work for the robot will be done. And in the lab dedicated exhibition facilities in which we can learn and enjoy the machinery that makes the Gundam work.
In the Gundam, the dock is equipped with a unique viewing deck, GUNDAM-DOCK TOWER, which allows the visitor to view the Gundam’s head and body from a varying height of 15 to 18m (49-60ft.).
The Gundam Factory Yokohama will accept an online reservation from 2nd October. For children whose ages between 7 to 13, it will cost ¥1,100 (S$14.23). Those who are over 13 years old, it will cost ¥1,350 (S$17.47). If you want it to watch from the Gundam dock tower, it will cost ¥3,300 (S$42.70). From the tower, we can see the close and personal view of the robot while it moves.
This looks super cool, but if your country is still not allowing travelling to different countries and you can’t travel to Japan so you can wait a little bit more because there is still plenty of time to visit the factory. As Gundam Factory Yokohama will be sticking around until 31 Mar 2022.
