A Film On Remarkable Journey Of Greta Thunberg
’I am Greta’ is directed by Nathan Grossman and he has recorded Greta’s everyday life and her rise to fame right from the school days, following her strike outside Swedish Parliament in August 2018; including her tour around the world spreading awareness to take action to fight against global warming.
The director of the film revealed that when he started filming he had no idea how that Greta, who was just 15 years old would rapidly become an influential key figure for the Global Climate Crisis Campaign. He added, the main aim of the movie is to show the audience the world from Greta’s point of view.
Greta Thunberg added: She was pleased with her portrayal in the film I Am Greta and stated that the makers succeeded in portraying her original personality as a shy nerdy person, not the one who sits in United Nations general assembly and screams at national political leaders. However, the media has framed her personality like that.
Greta Thunberg also said that some people accused her of being manipulated or controlled by others, which is not true at all…”I decide everything by myself and speak speeches which are written by me not someone else”.
While last month she returned to school and added that: As of now the fight against global warming is overshadowed by COVID-19 pandemic but it should always remain a prime concern for all of us.
Greta Thunberg was also named Time’s Person Of The Year in 2019.
