Idris Elba To Star In A Romantic Spy: By now, we all have resigned ourselves to the fact that Idris Elba is perhaps never going to play James Bond, something which has been in the rumors for over a year. Not to worry though, the star has made his way into the spy game with another Untitled film.
In a bidding war, Apple has acquired another high-profile film project for its streaming service, a romantic spy thriller starring and produced by Idris Elba. It will also be produced by Simon Kinberg, who has worked in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the X Men series.
About The Release
The name of the film and plot details are still undisclosed but it has been announced that the film is going to be set in Africa and is described as a romantic spy thriller.
Looking at the success Simon Kinberg has had with Mr. and Mrs. Smith, we can expect the new movie to be worth our time.
Elba was tested positive of COVID-19 back in April alongside his wife Sabrina but both of them have now been doing well. Now free from the virus, Idris Elba will next shoot the Netflix western ‘Harder They Fall’. Then he will be seen in ‘Concrete Cowboys’, which will debut at the Toronto film festival next month, and premiere alongside The Suicide Squad sequel in 2021.
