Reportedly, Jason Momoa will be cast as a lead in the prequel series based on The Witcher.
Aquaman actor to play the lead role in ‘The Witcher’ Spin-off!
Well, It hasn’t been officially confirmed by the makers and might be just a mere rumor. The news surfaced after a fan-made image got viral, which saw Jason Momoa alongside Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia in a planned poster for the show.
Jason Momoa also shared that image on his Instagram story tagged Henry Cavill with a caption “What’s up Homie”.
The spinoff series ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ will begin 1,200 years prior the events of The Witcher in an eleventh world and it will focus on “the events that lead to the pivotal ‘conjunctions of the spheres”, when the world of monsters, men and elves merged to become one”. It is six-part live-action series and will be directed by Declan De Barra. The Witcher prequel is scheduled to release in 2021 but the official release date isn’t yet revealed by Netflix.
While, Jason posted last week on Instagram and shared his enthusiasm for another loved property, as he received an advance copy of the new Metallic box set.
The present contained four LPS, two CDs, and a blue ray documentary.
He also exaggerated and added: “If you’re a Metallica fan, you’re a Jason Momoa fan. If you’re a Jason Momoa fan, you’re a Metallica fan.”
Jason Momoa is very popular for his roles in Aquaman(2018), Justice League(2017), and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
In February 2020, Jason appeared in the teaser for “Scary Little Green Men” by Ozzy Osbourne from his album ordinary man. He also made an appearance for Rocket Mortgage for Super Bowl LIV.
