JU-ON: origins season 1 Every Details About It’s Releasing, Cast, Plot And Everything You Need To Know

JU-ON – Grab your blankets and get ready for the scariest character with scariest story ever in history!! The movie hits your screens in July this year. You must be wondering what this that has got me so pumped up is. So let’s scale ourselves down to the name of the series which is a classic horror franchise JU-ON.


JU-ON – Originals is an upcoming Japanese horror series based on the famous JU-ON franchise. It is first time in four years that the story will be shown on screens. It will be directed by Shō Miyake, with the story written by Yō Takahashi and Takashige Ichise.


The series is scheduled to release on Netflix on Friday, 3rd July, 2020.

The series is originally in Japanese language but has been dabbed in English for majority viewers. the audience will get to watch 6 scary episodes in the first season of the show.

The synopsis of JU-ON Original provided by the Netflix says-

“JU-ON: Origins” is to focus on the true events of which is the inspiring base of the story. Those are the beginning of the “curse” and give a raw look at the chain of terror that befalls all of those who come into contact with the house.


The show is actually based on the 6 most horrific events that have happened in the last four decades.

The franchise of the show consisted of two short films known as The curse and the Grudge. Even though the horror levels in both were super high they got immense popularity among the viewers. It is one of those films which got more than 7.5 scales in rating.

Prior franchise installments have centered on a haunted house and a curse that causes deeply enraged people who die to become spirits and perpetuate the curse.

But this time before the release of the show Netflix has put out a trailer of the same. The trailer of the show  is indeed disturbing with blood , slitting the throat scenes, extreme violence which gives a clear indications of the level of horror the show is going to consume in itself.
