DC comics-based movie ‘Justice League’ was released in 2017. It a Superhero film directed by Zack Snyder. It featured Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, a new superhero entry in the film. After watching the film many people felt that Cyborg’s character wasn’t directed properly.
Here’s why Cyborg was malfunctioned
Justice League definitely failed at developing Cyborg’s character properly. He was no good as the other characters like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder were never in favour of Cyborg and didn’t give much emphasis on him, so the others could have shine. Although he was one of the main characters in the film, it felt like he wasn’t that compelling. In the rush to give Batman and Superman a lot of focus, they missed an opportunity to make Cyborg more memorable. In fact, even before the release of the film, when related pictures were coming out, he looked very unattractive.
Ray Fisher himself didn’t like the way Cyborg was handled in the movie. During a convention appearance, he said that victor’s mother’s death and the relationship between him and his father were not displayed well in the film.
Earlier, Justice League’s duration was almost about three hours. However, later it was reduced to around two hours. It is rumoured that due to this reduction of duration many important parts of Cyborg were cut down. However, it wasn’t like that his role was a complete disaster. Many people liked his character as he was the unsung hero in the film. The problem was just in the portrayal of his character.
