‘Kraven The Hunter’ (Sergei Kravinoff) is a fictional character appearing in numerous Spider-Man adaptations.
Reportedly, J.C. Chandor, the one who directed the ‘Triple Frontier’ Netflix movie, will be directing Spider-Man Spinoff movie “Kraven The Hunter” for Sony Pictures.

The film is dedicated to ‘Kraven The Hunter’, a fictional villain character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964. Kraven is well known as a big-game hunter, who’s only aim is to kill Spider-Man, to prove himself stronger. However, he still maintains a code of honor and justice and treats his adversaries as equals. Kraven has also ranked as IGN’s 53rd greatest comic book villain of all time.
Kraven The Hunter would be a third villain movie in the Spider-Man Universe, following “Venom” and the upcoming “Morbius”.
Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are serving as producers for the film and Richard Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Halloway as screenplay writers.
In recent years, Sony has come up with many superhero films like “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and its sequel “Spider-Man: Far from home” as well as “Venom”, which all were major box office hits.
The upcoming comic book adaptation is “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” from Sony’s arsenal of masked heroes. The sequel, starring Hardy as the journalist-turned-alien symbiote. It will be directed by Andy Serkis. The film was expected to release this October but its theatrical release is delayed until June 25, 2021, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Morbius” is a superhero thriller film, starring Jared Leto is also in the production at Sony. Moreover, even this film’s big-screen debut is postponed and scheduled to release by March 2021.
J.C. Chandor have also directed, thriller “Margin Call” in 2011, Survival Drama “All Is Lost” in 2013, A Crime Thriller “A Most Violent Year” in 2014.
