Live-Action Hollywood Monster Hunter Film Will Be Released in Japan on March 26

The Live action movie Monster Hunter game franchise by CAPCOM will be released on 26th March 2021 in Japan. The announcement made by TOHO on Thursday. And will be played in Japan in these versions- 4DX, Dolby Cinema, IMAX, and MX4D.


Release Date and more

The movie, Monster Hunter is tentatively set to release on 30th December 2020 in the United States of America. TOHO and Sony pictures entertainment planned for its North America and Japan release on 4th September 2020. But the film later delayed and pushed further to 2021 for the Japan release because of the coronavirus. Recently a teaser video has released in October which revealed the December date. And as for North America, the release date is out as 23rd April 2021. Also, the release date of Japan is out too which is 26th March 2021.


The productions of live-action started in October 2018 and ended in December 2018. The makers took only 2 months to finish the productions but everything shifted to almost a year forward because of the pandemic. This coronavirus has affected each and every shooting. The film’s budget is US$60 million. Sony Pictures is distributing the film in North America, and TOHO is distributing the film in Japan.

Main Characters

The main stars include- Milia Jovovich. Milia Jovovich is the main lead character Captain Natalie Artemis. Also signed for Resident Evil franchise. Apart from Milla Tony Jaa as a martial art character- The Hunter. He previously worked in the Ong Bak film series. Also On Perlman, who worked in the Hellboy film series, Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim will play the role of Amiral. Amiral is the leader of Hunter’s crew. T.I. Harris will play a sniper named Link. Diego Boneta as Sergeant Marshall. Diego previously worked in Pretty Little Liars. Hirona Yamazaki as the Handler and Josh Helman and Meagan Good in the last.
